Autonomous systems that run without you.
Brinkman Dynamics is the parent company for Ryan Brinkman's products, systems and startups. It builds software that operates unattended and keeps a record of what it did: trading infrastructure, sensor networks, engineering agents. The kind of system where nobody is watching the screen, so the system has to be honest about its own state.
- Running unattended since
- 31 May 2026 Nexus on Railway, no restart by hand
- Automated tests passing
- 3,957 Nexus suite, measured 11 Sep 2026
- Public services
- 2 Nexus and the family archive, account-gated
Systems
Each system has its own host, its own schedule and its own budget for failure. The status beside each one is what is true today, not what is planned.

Nexus
nexus.brinkmandynamics.comA streamlined, guided, paper-only trading system used by Ryan and his family. No real money moves: every position is paper, and the record of what it did is kept. FastAPI with a hand-written front end, running unattended on Railway since May 2026.
-
Family archive
family.brinkmandynamics.comA living family tree with its source records, built for one family and shown only to people in it. Photos and artifacts are the next phase.
-
Nexus OmniSense
omnisense.brinkmandynamics.comA sensor mesh for what is present on a network and in the air around it: a single-board sensor on the LAN and RF side, an Android sensor, and a console that correlates what each node independently saw.
-
Cortex
cortex.brinkmandynamics.comThe substrate the engineering agents run on: a board of tasks, decisions and evidence that lives in files, so any agent can pick up where the last one stopped. Work is gated by the test suite before it lands.
-
Hermes
hermes.brinkmandynamics.comMarket data and paper-trading services as a surface of their own. Today they run inside Nexus.
How the work is done
Unattended software fails differently from software someone is watching. These are the rules that make the difference.
Measured, not asserted
A number on this site was taken from the running system on a stated date. If it was not measured, it is not written down.
Refuse rather than guess
When a reading falls below its confidence floor the system declines and records why. A wrong action costs more than a skipped one.
Instruments that cannot lie
A dashboard that reports success while doing nothing is worse than no dashboard. Every status has to be falsifiable.
Paper before real
Nexus has traded paper only since its first deploy. Nothing irreversible happens without a person deciding it should.
Work with us
Available for systems work: automation, data infrastructure, and applications that have to keep running when nobody is looking.
